Worldgate Centre - Pool Dehumidifier

The indoor pool and whirlpool areas at Worldgate Athletic Club were suffering from excessive temperature and humidity fluctuations due to an aging pool dehumidifier that could no longer control the space.

Commercial Express HVAC performed an engineering review of the space and proposed a new dehumidification system that would not only solve the space temperature / humidity concerns, but also reduce operating costs by incorporating energy saving techniques such as hot gas reheat, pool water energy recovery, exhaust air energy recovery, and integration into the Building Automation System to maximize efficiency.

Worldgate Centre - Retail Cooling Towers

The retail shops at the Worldgate Centre in Herndon, VA were served by two 150-ton cooling towers that were past their useful service life and in need of replacement.

Working with the property owner, RAPPAPORT, Commercial Express HVAC Installed two new BAC cooling towers along with upgraded steel supports, two new centrifugal system pumps with variable frequency drives to provide soft start and balancing, sediment filtration system to prevent debris buildup in the tower basins and reduce maintenance, and a new dedicated Carrier i-Vu building automation system to optimize performance and provide system monitoring and control.

Bethesda Row

A new restaurant was moving into the first floor of a multi-story building at Bethesda Row in Maryland.  They needed a way to get their kitchen makeup air and exhaust grease ductwork up to the roof, but there was no shaft or clean pathway available within the building envelope.  We installed prefabricated double wall kitchen ductwork along the side of the building up to the equipment on the roof, while still maintaining a clean aesthetic on the building façade.
